Day 1: Arrival | Guwahati-Kaziranga Your adventure kicks off upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. From there, we’ll whisk you away to Kaziranga National Park. After checking into your hotel or homestay, you'll have the rest of the day to relax and prepare for the wild journey ahead.
Day 2: Sightseeing | Kaziranga National Park The day begins with an optional early morning elephant safari (at your own expense) to see Kaziranga up close. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its thriving population of one-horned rhinos, as well as tigers, elephants, and hundreds of bird species. After a hearty breakfast, you'll embark on a thrilling jeep safari arranged by Thrillophilia, venturing deep into the park's grasslands.
Day 3: Kaziranga National Park - Shillong After breakfast, we’ll travel to Shillong, the enchanting capital of Meghalaya. Our journey includes a scenic stop at Umiam Lake, a vast man-made reservoir with stunning, sylvan hills. Upon arrival in Shillong, you’ll check into your hotel and have the evening free to explore this beautiful city at your leisure.
Day 4: Shillong-Cherrapunjee Today, we head to Cherrapunjee, known as one of the wettest places on Earth. Our route includes a stop at the breathtaking Laitlum Canyon, where you'll feel like you're standing at the edge of the world. We’ll also visit the mystical Garden of Caves, the majestic Elephant Falls, and the iconic Mawsmai Caves, Nohkalikai Falls, and Seven Sister Falls.
Day 5: Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong - Dawki - Shillong An early start takes us to Mawlynnong, famously known as "Asia’s Cleanest Village." Here, you’ll see the mesmerizing living root bridge and the unique balancing rock. Next, we journey to Dawki, a small town on the border of Bangladesh, to witness the stunningly clear waters of the Umangot River. Later, we'll drive back to Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Sightseeing | Shillong-Guwahati We start the day with a half-day sightseeing tour of Shillong, visiting the Don Bosco Museum, Lady Hydari Park, Cathedral Church, and Ward’s Lake. Afterward, we’ll begin our drive back to Guwahati, where we'll check into our hotel for a final night.
